If your diesel pump is off the engine and you want an answer on it today, bring it in. Injection pumps are tested and calibrated on our own bench, in this building — no third-party workshop, no waiting in somebody else's queue for the one step that decides whether the job is right.
Where we are and how to get here
We are in Industrial Area 15, in the middle of Sharjah's workshop belt, directly behind the Yerevan Steel Factory. That is the landmark to navigate to. Put the steel factory into your map, drive to it, and come round to the back — the workshops behind it are on a simple grid, and once you are in that grid we are straightforward to find.
If you are driving a truck with a block, a genset or a heavy pump on it, ring the number above when you turn into the area and you will be walked in over the phone rather than left circling. That is a two-minute call that regularly saves people half an hour.
Coming from Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah or Abu Dhabi, you are heading for the Sharjah industrial belt rather than the city centre, so plan the route around the industrial-area approach and not the corniche.
What to bring
- The pump itself. With the pump number and the engine make, model and serial. We pull the test plan from the pump number, so a photograph of the pump's tag saves a day.
- The injectors, if you can. A pump set correctly into worn injectors still smokes. Testing both together avoids a second visit and a second bill.
- What the engine was doing. Hard starting, power loss, smoke colour, whether it stops and needs bleeding. Two sentences from the driver or the operator are worth more than a fault code.
- Nothing else. You do not need to bring the engine.
What happens when you walk in with a pump
It goes on the bench, not on a shelf. Where the pump can still be driven, we run it as received and record what each element actually delivers, before anything is stripped and before anything is quoted. That incoming run is the whole point of this workshop having its own calibration capability rather than sending the work out — it turns "we think it is the pump" into a measurement.
That test gives you one of three answers. The pump is within specification and your fault is elsewhere, which is a genuinely useful thing to learn before you spend money. Or one element or one component is at fault, which is often a much smaller job than the customer feared. Or the pump is worn beyond economic repair, and we say so plainly rather than quoting you for a rebuild that will not hold.
Then you get a quote, itemised, before anything happens. Parts and work listed separately, and no work starts until you have agreed it.

What it costs, and why we will not guess
It depends entirely on the pump and on what is worn inside it, and any workshop that quotes a figure before the pump has been run is guessing. The same symptom has a cheap cause and an expensive one: a smoking engine might need one delivery valve, or a full set of elements, or nothing at the pump at all. There is no way to tell which without measuring.
What we can promise upfront is the method. The pump is tested, then stripped, then measured. You get an itemised quote before any parts are ordered. If the honest answer is that the unit is not worth repairing, you will be told that — that advice costs us the occasional job and keeps the customer, which has been a fair trade so far.
Collection and delivery
Most customers bring the unit in, and for a pump or a set of injectors that is usually the fastest route. If you have a heavy unit, several units, or a vessel or site you cannot leave, call and describe the job — transport is arranged more often than not, and the person answering the phone can tell you straight away whether it can be done for your location and your timescale.
Can't get here today?
Phone first. The key contact answers directly, including outside workshop hours, and can usually tell you over the phone whether the symptom points at the pump, the injectors or somewhere else entirely. That conversation is free and it saves people a wasted journey more often than it wins us a job.
What we do here
Diesel injection pump repair and bench calibration, injector repair, cleaning and testing, common rail work and governor calibration — all on site, all with a test report. The technical detail lives on diesel fuel pump repair and overhaul and diesel injector repair and calibration; the full range is at diesel fuel injection service and calibration.
Engine machining — crankshafts, blocks, heads, liners and rods — runs from the same premises. See machine shop near me in Sharjah.
