This page is directions, access and logistics. If you want to know what the machines do, the diesel engine machine shop page lists every operation we perform.
Where we are — look for the steel factory
The single instruction that gets a driver here: we are behind Yerevan Steel Factory, in Industrial Area 15.
Sharjah's industrial areas are a grid of near-identical unit rows, and a plot number on its own is not much use from behind a windscreen. The steel factory is large, it is signed, and everybody working in this part of Industrial Area 15 knows it. Find the factory, come round the back of it, and you are on our road.
If you are driving a lorry with a block or a crankshaft on the bed, message the load and your approach on WhatsApp before you set off — +971 50 767 9050 — and you will be talked in on the phone rather than left circling. That offer is not a formality; industrial-area addresses go wrong often enough that we would rather spend two minutes on the phone than have a driver lose an hour.
Getting here
- From elsewhere in the Sharjah Industrial Areas. Most customers are already inside the industrial grid and are simply crossing a few areas. Come to the steel factory and work backwards from it.
- From Sharjah city and the corniche. Head out on the Maliha Road corridor into the industrial areas.
- From Dubai — Al Quoz, Ras Al Khor, Deira. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) or Emirates Road (E611) north, then into the Sharjah industrial areas. Fleets and workshops in Dubai have a dedicated page with routes and collection terms.
- From Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. Straight down the Emirates Road corridor — for much of Ajman we are closer than most of Dubai is, and diesel engine and machine shop services for Ajman customers are set out on their own page.
- From Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Emirates Road or the Sharjah–Kalba route; both feed into the industrial areas from the south.
- From Abu Dhabi. E311 the whole way. It is a long run, so send photographs and measurements first and let us tell you whether the part needs to make the journey at all.
Traffic in this corridor is unpredictable, particularly at shift change and in the evening, so plan a delivery for the middle of the morning if you have the choice.
Opening and access
We are open six days a week during normal Sharjah industrial hours, and the shop runs a full working day rather than a service-counter half day. Hours shift during Ramadan, as they do across the emirate. Call before you set out if you are arriving late in the day or travelling from outside Sharjah — one phone call is cheaper than a wasted lorry.
For engines that are down and costing money — a genset carrying load, a vessel waiting to sail — say so when you call. Urgent work is taken outside routine scheduling, and arrangements for out-of-hours drop-off can usually be made if we know you are coming.
- Heavy deliveries — blocks, crankshafts, complete engines, liner sets — are normal here. Tell us the weight and how it is coming and we will have the right handling ready at the door rather than improvised when you arrive.
- Collection across Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman and the northern emirates can usually be arranged. Tell us what the component is, what it weighs and where it is sitting, and we will confirm what is possible and when.
- Visitors are welcome. You may come and see the machine your job will run on. Most people who ask that question become customers, and the ones who never ask it are usually the ones being quoted for somebody else's shop.

What to bring
Bring the part, and bring the identity of the engine. A component with no engine model attached slows everything down, because limits and clearances are engine-specific and we will not machine to a guess.
- The component itself — crankshaft, head, block, rod, liner, shaft. A single item is a normal job.
- Engine make, model and serial number. Photograph the engine data plate on your phone before you leave site.
- The mating part where one exists. A shaft with its housing, a piston with its liner, a pin with its rod. Fits are measured against the real part, not a nominal size.
- Your own measurements, if you have taken them. It speeds the assessment and tells us what you have already ruled out.
- The failed parts. A wiped bearing shell or a broken ring tells us more about the cause than the component that survived.
- Any service manual figures you have for clearances and limits.
How to send us a part
- Message first. WhatsApp a photograph of the part and the engine data plate to +971 50 767 9050. We will confirm it is a job for this shop before you pay for transport.
- Label it. Company name, contact number, engine model, and the cylinder number if the part is one of a set.
- Send it in by your own transport or courier, or ask about collection.
- We measure it. The part is cleaned, inspected and measured against the engine maker's limits, and you are told what it actually reads — not what we guess it reads.
- You decide. Machining scope and price, against the price and lead time of replacement, in writing. Nothing is cut until you say yes.
That fourth step is the one worth travelling for. Whether a crankshaft, a head or a block is repairable is not an opinion — it depends on measurable condition: ovality, hardness, bend, crack depth, and how much material is left above the maker's limit. Bring the part in and those numbers exist by the end of the day. Most people are asked to make a replace-or-repair decision without them.
What we do here
All of it in this building — crankshaft grinding, line boring, cylinder reboring and honing, engine block machining and crack repair, cylinder head reconditioning and surfacing, connecting rod resizing, hydraulic press work, and lathe and turning work for general job-shop parts, diesel or not. Fuel pump and injector calibration runs from the same site; if that is what you need, see diesel pump repair near me.

Areas we serve
Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Abu Dhabi. Most customers deliver the component to Industrial Area 15; collection across Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman and the northern emirates is usually arrangeable, and it is worth asking before you organise your own transport.
